One of the ancient animal is still alive today is the Komodo dragon. And the only habitat of animals living on the island of Komodo dragons are only located in the Nusa Tenggara Islands, south-eastern island of Sumbawa and separated by Sape Strait in Indonesia. This island is also the Komodo National Park.

In this Komodo Island, Komodo dragon live and breed well. From the study until August 2009, on the island there are about 1300 male Komodo dragons.

Besides Komodo animals, in this island there are also exotic flora nitak tree (sterculia oblongata) that the wood is called wood Sepang by the local people used as medicine and dye clothes.
